 This is the story about the robbery of a knitting mill. This event took place in 1972 in the small town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Main character in the story is Annie Roberts. It is also her story.
At the time of the robbery, Annie was twenty, very young, married, but naive. Annie was a participant in the crime. During the robbery, one of the robbers handed Annie some money. Annie promptly turns it in to police. The story then follows Annie’s life over a period of five years, until the statute of limitations at that time for this particular type of crime is up.
A lot happens in Annie’s life over the five years. All the while Annie keeps in contact with the lead detective on the case, Detective Jameson. Finally, one day in the summer of 1977 Annie gets the long awaited telephone call…

A Thought From The Minds Eye Of The Author: NIET

| I would like to thank all of the colorful people who have contributed in some way over the years. A thought, a sentence, an adventure can go a long way in becoming a very exciting piece of work for a writer. All my life I have been hearing, you should write a book about your life. Imagination can be a writer’s strongest tool, if we just take a little time to use it. I decided to use experiences from my life. I choose not to write the book that is so boring it brings tears to the eyes, but to write stories so interesting and touching to bring tears to the readers’ eyes. I finally decided to do just that. All of the stories are a combination of fact and fiction. I say it is a combination of fact and fiction because I am not out to hurt anyone’s feelings or belittle anyone. I am writing these stories through my minds eye. I have found as I have gone through life with the belief and knowledge that things are not always, as they seem. What I mean by that is simply, one persons’ truth is another persons’ fiction, and in some cases, nightmare. I have tried to make each story interesting as well as accurate. The reader should keep in mind that these are all the facts, as I have chosen to see them. Not necessarily how others in the story would see them, if they were in fact real people. Instead, they are characters I chose to give life to in my minds eye. What I hope to cover in my writings is a span of 50+ years. This I feel will take some time and effort, but I hope the result will be worth the wait. Having said all that, I guess, all that I have left to do now is in fact, to start writing... NIET |
